Premium plans, prices and cancellation

ProperHabit is free for up to six habits, with no account required. Premium is optional and unlocks unlimited habits, Health auto-complete, iCloud sync and data export. These are the App Store products, as Apple requires us to disclose them:

Purchases and Premium

I bought Premium but the app still shows it as locked. How do I restore it?

Open the Premium screen in Settings and tap Restore purchases. If it still does not unlock, check that you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with, then restore again. A purchase that is still pending cannot be restored until Apple completes it. If your account is correct and restore still fails, email us — include the date of purchase and we will help you work out what Apple reports.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings → your name (Apple Account) → Subscriptions, choose ProperHabit Premium and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for; cancelling does not refund the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — you must cancel it in your Apple Account.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot see or reverse your payment. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, or see Apple's guidance on requesting a refund for App Store purchases.

How much does Premium cost, and where can I see the exact price?

The reference prices are US$2.99 per month, US$19.99 per year (with a 7-day free trial) and US$34.99 once for the lifetime unlock. The price that actually applies to you is the one the App Store displays in your region before you confirm the purchase, and that price is the authoritative one. See Premium plans, prices and cancellation above.

How does the annual free trial work?

The 7-day free trial applies to the annual plan only. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the annual subscription starts and the annual price is charged. The monthly plan and the lifetime purchase have no trial.

Is the lifetime purchase a subscription?

No. The lifetime unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is charged once, never renews, and there is nothing to cancel.

I reached six habits and cannot add another

That is the free plan working as intended: six habits at no cost, forever, without an account. Adding a seventh opens the Premium screen, where you can choose monthly, annual (with the 7-day trial) or the lifetime unlock. You can keep using the six you have without paying.

Your data and backups

How do I move my data to a new iPhone?

You have two options, and you should set one up before you switch:

We cannot transfer or restore data for you, because we never receive it. See Can you recover my account or my lost data? below for the honest limits.

How do I export or back up my data?

Premium includes export and backup:

Save the file somewhere outside the app, such as Files, iCloud Drive or another cloud service you trust. Export requires Premium, but you can always read your complete history on screen for free. If your history matters to you, export it regularly — a backup you never made cannot be restored.

How do I delete my data?

You are in control, and you do not need to ask us:

We cannot delete app data for you, because we never receive it. There is no in-app "erase everything" button in version 1.0.1; deleting the app is the way to remove all of it at once. If you prefer a dedicated erase option, tell us — feedback shapes the roadmap.

Can you recover my account or my lost data?

Do you have a server? Is there any cloud backup?

We operate no server for ProperHabit and receive none of your data. There is no ProperHabit cloud. Two Apple services can still hold a copy of your data, both under your control:

Features: widgets, Health, streaks

How do the widgets and the Live Activity work?

ProperHabit includes Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets so you can check habits off without opening the app, and a Live Activity that shows your current habit or timed session on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. They read the same local database as the app, so nothing leaves your device. If a widget looks stale, open the app once so it can refresh its data; iOS also decides how often widgets update, so a slight delay is normal.

Is there an Apple Watch app?

No. ProperHabit is an iPhone app and requires iOS 18 or later. There is no iPad version, no Apple Watch app and no published macOS version.

Health auto-complete is not working. What should I check?

Check three things, in order:

  1. the habit must have a linked Health metric — steps, sleep or mindfulness;
  2. Health permission must be granted, in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → ProperHabit;
  3. Health auto-complete requires Premium — it is one of the paid features.

If permission is off or the metric is not linked, the habit simply stays manual. Remember the app only reads from Apple Health; it never writes to or changes your health records. If you have granted access and linked the metric but today's value still shows as zero, check that the data exists in the Health app itself — sleep and mindfulness in particular are only recorded if something writes them.

My streak looks wrong. How are streaks counted?

Streaks are counted from your habit's schedule, not from the calendar, and there are a few rules worth knowing:

If a streak still looks wrong after that, email us with the habit name, its schedule and the dates involved — that is usually enough for us to reproduce it.

Why did my reminder not arrive?

Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS, so check that notifications are allowed for ProperHabit in iOS Settings and that reminders are enabled in the app. Focus modes, Low Power Mode, a silenced device and a switched-off iPhone can all delay or suppress them. Nothing about your reminders passes through a server.

Do I need an account to use ProperHabit?

No. There is no account, no sign-up, no login and no password. You install the app and start tracking. This is also why there is no account recovery — see Can you recover my account or my lost data?.

Accessibility and feedback

I have an accessibility problem. How do I report it?

Email hi@zordonintelligence.pl with Accessibility in the subject line and tell us what you were using: VoiceOver, Voice Control, Switch Control, Full Keyboard Access, Larger Text, Reduce Motion, or increased contrast. Include your iPhone model and iOS version. Accessibility reports go to the top of our queue, and we will tell you honestly whether a fix is coming and roughly when.

Can I suggest a feature or report a bug?

Yes — email hi@zordonintelligence.pl. Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, the app version, what you expected and what happened. We read every message, although we cannot promise every suggestion will ship.

What the app cannot do

We would rather you knew these limits before you rely on ProperHabit than discover them later:
